The Financial Administrative and Support Services Group, led by General Manager Mohamed Abdi, is the cornerstone of CBS’s operational efficiency. This group ensures the smooth functioning of the Bank by managing its workforce, financial resources, facilities, and technological infrastructure. It encompasses four departments—Human Resources, Financial Affairs, Support Services, and IT—that address CBS’s administrative, logistical, and technological needs.
The Human Resources Department fosters a motivated and skilled workforce through its Operations, Payroll & Benefits Division, which handles compensation and benefits, the Policy & Planning Division, which develops HR policies and workforce strategies, and the Training Division, which focuses on employee development. The Financial Affairs Department ensures fiscal accountability through its Budgeting & Planning Division, which is responsible for resource allocation, the General Accounting Division, which maintains financial records, the Financial Reporting Division, which prepares comprehensive reports, and the Payment & Settlements Division, which oversees financial transactions. The Support Services Department manages CBS’s operational infrastructure through its Security Division, ensuring safety, the Maintenance & Transportation Division, managing logistics, and the Procurement Division, which handles acquisitions. Finally, the IT Department supports CBS’s digitization through its Applications & Database Division, which develops software solutions, the Infrastructure, Network, and IT Support Services Division, ensuring system availability & reliability, and the Information Security Division, which safeguards CBS’s digital assets. Together, these departments and divisions enable CBS to fulfill its mission and maintain its leadership in Somalia’s financial sector.
